Making borderless payments easier for merchants and businesses

Overview

Knit is a banking solution designed for merchants and businesses. It helps them with processing payments across the world with digital assets

The founder and co-founder of Knit got in touch when their product was still an idea. They needed a designer to help bring their idea to life. I teamed up with them to craft the first version of their brand and product, which got their first users on board and enabled their first transactions. During those early phases, we collaborated and used design to validate assumptions, test, and refine ideas as the product took shape.

Designing the Mobile app

Research

During the process, I conducted research to understand what challenges merchants face with payments using competitive analysis. I conducted a detailed evaluation of similar products to understand how well they met the needs of their users. I studied their design patterns, user flows and how they shaped their solution.

The research process revealed that similar products were a bit more complex to use and have much longer flows. This was able to guide my decision on what to do and what not to do.

Design

While working on the mobile application, I started out by creating initial explorations around the idea.

After meeting with the stakeholders to discuss the initial ideas, I used the feedback to work on the hi-fidelity designs

Designing the Web dashboard

The dashboard was aimed at providing the users with an overview of their profile and the transactions they conducted.

Users should be able to view transactions and generate reports based on the existing details.

Transactions give the user a high level single view summary of the total amount of transactions done, and the amount processed
